The Hotel Mystery

My grandmother lost her mother when she was only eleven.  At that time she took over the care of her four siblings.  At that time the family lived in a small town in Idaho.  My grandmother share with her family many stories of life at that point.  Stories of how hard it was for her father to make a living for his family, how he lost the use of a leg in a railroad accident, how much he missed his dear sweet wife. But it was not until I went through a box of photos after grandma passed away that I came upon a photo of people standing in from of a large three story house with writing on the back of the photo saying "Papa and Mama's hotel"
This was definitely my grandmother's handwriting.  I had never heard any stories of where her mom and dad were raised. Or where they married, what they did prior to moving to Idaho, or even why they moved to Idaho.  It just never did cross my mind as a young woman to ask these questions.  And now I can't.  Both my grandma, grandpa, mother and father have passed away.  I am now the oldest living relative.  I have no one to go to .  This makes me so sad to think that all this information was available at one time and I missed my chance to hear it.
I am now doing what I can to search for this mystery hotel.  I have no idea what state, what town, what area to search.  But I will keep on searching until I can no longer do it.
One thing this has taught me is to document all my memories.  The younger members of my family may not be interested today, but when the day comes that they are, they have only to research my notes to start their own trails.
